Studios and One Bedroom Flats
The smallest homes here still need a permit, a service lift slot and a bed taken apart. A short video survey is usually enough to price them, and the truck is chosen to fit the loading bay so the carry stays short.
Dubai Production City, still IMPZ to many residents and on plenty of older paperwork, is mostly mid-rise apartment buildings with offices among them. Moves here are often compact: a studio, a one or two bedroom flat, a small production office. We price them on what they involve, book the building side and keep the job to the time it needs.

The name changed, but plenty of people still say IMPZ, and you may still see it on older tenancy contracts and in some map apps. Whatever you call it, the area is mainly mid-rise apartment buildings and offices, close to Motor City and Dubai Sports City. As movers and packers in Dubai Production City, we plan a lot of compact homes and small businesses, and Best Mover Dubai prices those jobs on what they actually involve. A studio does not need the crew or the truck of a villa, and it should not be quoted like one.
Small does not mean simple. A one bedroom flat on the sixth floor still needs a move permit, a service lift slot and somewhere legal for the truck to stop, and an office in a building with residents may share that same lift. We arrange those bookings, send a crew that matches the job and give you a fixed price in writing after a free survey, done at your door or by video call.
Every service we offer across Dubai, planned around the way homes and buildings work in Dubai Production City.

Homes here are mostly apartments, so nearly every job starts with a lift booking. We protect the lift and corridor, pack the kitchen and wardrobes, take down the bed and the TV, and put it all back together at the new address. For a studio that is often a morning's work for a small crew. A two bedroom family flat gets more people, not more hours.
Moving Company in Dubai
Sharers splitting up, a contract ending before the next flat is free, a few months working abroad: storage solves each of these. We pack, number every carton and piece on an inventory and hold it all in clean racked storage. When two flatmates share a move, each person's goods carry their own labels and their own inventory, so nothing ends up in the wrong home.
Moving and Storage Service in Dubai
Small offices are common in Production City, and they move best outside working hours. We pack desks, files and monitors in numbered crates, agree where each desk goes in the new office and set everything out to match. Cameras, lighting stands and editing machines travel in their cases with cables labelled, so the team can work the next morning.
Removal Company in Dubai
Bought a sofa from someone in the next building, or hired a van and just need two people who lift properly? We take the small jobs too. A crew can load or unload your own vehicle, carry a single heavy piece up to a flat, or move a digital piano in a wooden cabinet without marking the walls on the way.
Removal Service in DubaiThe area was renamed, but the old name has not gone away. Tenancy contracts, building letters, utility bills and delivery apps can still show IMPZ, while newer documents say Dubai Production City. For a move that matters more than it sounds. A truck sent to a pin that drops on the wrong side of a building can lose a good part of its lift slot hunting for the loading entrance.
At the survey we note the building name, the exact loading entrance and where the truck can legally wait, and the crew gets a pin for that spot rather than the main lobby. If you are moving into the area, ask the new building for its move rules early, including the permit form and the service lift hours, and forward them to us. We take it from there.
Paperwork follows the same logic. Your Ejari registration and your DEWA account should carry the address exactly as the building writes it, so the documents you hand to building management all describe the same flat. If the old name appears on one and the new name on another, raise it with your landlord or agent before the move permit is requested.
Most jobs in the old IMPZ area are compact, but compact covers a lot of ground. These are the homes and workplaces we plan for most often.
The smallest homes here still need a permit, a service lift slot and a bed taken apart. A short video survey is usually enough to price them, and the truck is chosen to fit the loading bay so the carry stays short.
A family flat on a middle floor holds more than its size suggests, from bunk beds to a full kitchen and a balcony of plants and bikes. We add crew rather than hours so the lift slot is enough, and rebuild the children's rooms first.
Agencies, editing suites and production companies with a handful of desks rarely want to lose a working day, so most move once the office has closed. Desks and crates are numbered to the new floor plan, and camera, lighting and audio cases come off the truck first.
When flatmates go separate ways, shared furniture has to be divided before the crew arrives. We list each person's goods on their own coloured labels and inventory, then deliver to both new addresses or store one share until that person has keys.

A studio or one bedroom flat should be quoted on what is in it, not on a minimum built for family homes. The survey sets the volume, the access at both buildings and the packing you want done, and the price that comes back in writing is the price you pay, provided the contents match what we saw.
There are honest ways to bring the figure down, and none of them involve sending furniture out unwrapped or squeezing a full flat into a van that is too small. Most come down to a little preparation on your side and some freedom on the date. These are the ones that make a real difference:

IMPZ stood for International Media Production Zone, and the area still has plenty of small offices: agencies, editing suites, print shops, consultancies and young companies with a dozen desks or fewer. When they move, the downtime costs more than the move. A team that cannot work on Monday because the server is still in a crate has lost a day.
So we start from the hours that cost least. We usually suggest a Friday evening or the weekend, with staff packing their own desks during the last afternoon and our crew taking over at close of business. Each desk, crate and chair gets a number that matches the floor plan of the new office. Monitors travel in padded crates, and the network is unplugged by your IT person, not by us, so it goes back the way it came out.
Production kit needs a little more thought. Camera bodies, lenses, lighting heads and audio gear are best moved in their own flight cases where you have them. We wrap the cases, keep them upright and load them last so they come off first. Our page on office and commercial removals explains how the rest of the job runs.
Use the quote form or email us. Say what you are moving, where from, where to and roughly when.
We look at the home in person or on a short video call, count the big pieces and check access at both buildings.
You receive one price in writing with every line explained. Book the date that suits you and we confirm the crew.
The crew packs, loads, drives, unloads and rebuilds the furniture. Empty cartons and wrapping leave with us.
Mid-rise buildings change the shape of a move. With fewer floors, some residents are tempted to skip the service lift and carry things down the stairs, but many buildings keep stairwells clear as fire exits, and a sofa wedged on a landing blocks one. We book the service lift even for a small move, and plan the carry around its size.
The loading area matters just as much. Some buildings have a proper bay, others a few marked spaces by the entrance, and street parking can fill up in the evening when residents get home. A smaller truck that fits the bay often beats a large one parked further away with a long carry. We decide that at the survey, using photos of both ends.
If you have never moved in a Dubai building before, our guide to move permits in Dubai sets out how permits, deposits and lift bookings usually work. For a quick answer on whether a date is free, call 058 135 7375, or fill in the quote form and we will reply with survey times.
Small homes and offices move quickly once the building side is sorted. These steps keep the lift slot from being wasted.
Prices here vary more than people expect for an area of mostly smaller flats. A studio with a sofa bed and a few cartons is a short job; a studio used as an editing suite, with desks, monitors and cases of kit, is not. An office moving on a Friday evening is planned differently again, because the crew works outside normal hours.
So a price list would mislead you. A survey comes first, at your door or by video call, and covers the lift, the loading bay and the rules at both buildings. A single fixed figure follows in writing. To bring it down, our Dubai moving checklist shows what to sort and pack before the crew arrives.
Volume decides how many people come and how big the truck is. Clearing out unused furniture and old cartons before the survey lowers the price more than anything else.
A small service lift, or a loading bay with room for a medium truck at most, changes how we load, and sometimes means smaller loads run back to back.
We can pack everything or just the kitchen and fragile items. Boxing clothes, books and shoes yourself takes time off the job.
Monitors, servers, cameras and lighting need padded crates or their own cases, and numbering desks to a floor plan adds time at both ends.
Offices that cannot lose a working day usually move after close of business, and those hours are set out in the quote before you agree it.
A move next door to Motor City or Dubai Sports City is short on the road. A move to another emirate adds driving time to the day.

Yes. IMPZ, short for International Media Production Zone, was the earlier name, and many people, contracts and map apps still use it. When you book, give us the building name and the address as it appears on your tenancy contract. We confirm the exact loading entrance at the survey, so the crew drives straight to the right spot on the day.
Yes, and we quote them on what they involve rather than on a minimum set for larger homes. A studio still gets wrapped furniture, a protected lift and a bed rebuilt at the new place. The crew and truck are simply smaller. A short video survey is usually enough for a studio, so you get your fixed price without waiting for a home visit.
The price depends on volume, packing, access at both buildings, the date and where the new home is. A studio going to Motor City costs less than a two bedroom flat going to Abu Dhabi, but both are quoted the same way: a free survey, then one fixed figure in writing. That figure holds on moving day as long as the contents match the survey.
In most cases, yes. We pack and move small offices in the evening or over a weekend, then set desks, chairs and crates out to your floor plan so staff can start the next working day. Your IT person disconnects and reconnects the network; we move the hardware safely in between. Permits and lift slots at both buildings are booked before the date is confirmed.
Yes. We survey the flat once, then list each person's furniture and cartons separately with different coloured labels. On the day we either run two drops with one truck or send two smaller crews, depending on how far apart the new homes are. Each of you gets a separate price, so nobody pays to move someone else's sofa.
For a home, a weekday morning well clear of month end. The service lift is easier to book, the loading area is quieter and street parking has not yet filled with residents' cars, which tends to happen in the evening. For an office, a Friday evening or weekend keeps the working week intact. In the summer months, the earliest slot of the day is worth asking for.
For a studio or a one bedroom flat, as soon as you have the date and the building's move rules, since a video survey can be arranged without much notice. Larger flats are usually surveyed at home, and offices need time to agree a floor plan and an evening slot with management at both buildings. Whatever the size, the last days of the month go first, so book early if your lease ends then.
Yes in most buildings, whichever direction you are moving. Building management issues the permit, sets the service lift slot and often takes a refundable deposit to cover the shared areas. Make sure the address on your documents matches how the building writes it, IMPZ or Dubai Production City, or the request may be queried. We book the lift once the permit is through.
