We move apartments and villas across Dubai and out to Abu Dhabi, door to door. A supervisor surveys your home, books permits and lifts with both buildings and sends one fixed price in writing. Then our crew packs, takes the furniture apart, drives it over and puts it back together.
A tower flat in Business Bay and a villa in Arabian Ranches are two different moves. One runs on lift slots and loading bay times, the other on gate permits, garages and a lot more furniture. As a moving company in Dubai, Best Mover Dubai plans for whichever one you have. We survey the home, check the rules at both buildings and give you a fixed price in writing. On the day our crew packs, dismantles, loads, drives, unloads and rebuilds, and the supervisor who surveyed your home is there to run it.
We handle household moves inside Dubai, from one bedroom apartments in Al Barsha to family villas in The Springs, as well as moves along the E11 to Abu Dhabi. The paperwork is split between us. Building permits, lift bookings and loading bay times are ours to arrange. Your tenancy registration and your DEWA account are in your name, so they stay with you, but we give you the timing for each one so the dates line up with the truck.

Three Services Under Moving Company
Book one on its own or combine them. Each is quoted separately, so you only pay for the work you need.
Home Movers
As house movers for apartments and townhouses, we cover everything from a studio in Jumeirah Village Triangle to a three bedroom flat in Dubai Creek Harbour. We wrap the sofa, box up the kitchen, take down the beds and lift the TV off its bracket. Lift walls and corridor floors are covered before the first carton goes out. The crew is sized to the flat and the lift slot, so loading is done before the building takes the lift back.
Villa Movers
Villas mean volume and outdoor space. Beyond the bedrooms there is the maid's room, garage shelving, garden furniture, the barbecue, bikes and a trampoline that has to come apart. As villa movers we bring a larger crew and the right truck, arrange the community move permit in advance, and plan the loading order so the garden and garage are not left until everyone is tired. Big wardrobes and beds are dismantled, moved and rebuilt at the new villa.
Dubai to Abu Dhabi Movers
Moving to the capital takes most of a day, so we treat it as its own job rather than a Dubai move with a longer drive. The supervisor checks the rules at the Abu Dhabi building before a date is offered, and for larger homes the packing happens a day ahead, letting the truck leave full and early. The same crew loads in Dubai, unloads at the other end and rebuilds your furniture before heading back.
Tower Apartments and Villas Are Moved in Different Ways
In a tower, the building sets the pace. A move out of Jumeirah Lake Towers, Business Bay or Dubai Creek Harbour needs a move permit from building management, a booked slot on the service lift and a time at the loading bay, and many also ask for a refundable deposit. The crew has to load inside that slot, so we size the team to the volume and have every carton sealed and lined up inside the flat before the lift is ours.
Villas give more room to work and more to move. In Arabian Ranches, The Springs or Mudon the community wants a move permit and the gate needs to know the truck is coming. Then there is everything outside the house: garage shelving, garden furniture, plant pots, the barbecue and the bikes. A villa usually needs a bigger truck, sometimes two, and a crew that splits up so the garden is cleared while the bedrooms are loaded.
Both kinds of move are door to door. We dismantle beds, wardrobes, bunk beds and dining tables at the old address, bag and label every screw and bracket, and rebuild each piece in the room you point to at the new one. Cartons are marked by room, so they land where they will be unpacked rather than in one pile in the living room.
The Survey, the Fixed Quote and the End of Month Rush
Every quote starts with a survey, either at your home or on a short video call where you walk us through each room on your mobile. We note the large pieces, open wardrobes to judge what is inside, and ask about anything awkward such as an aquarium, a marble table or artwork. Pianos go to our piano and specialist removal service. We also check access at both addresses: lift size, loading bay distance and stairs.
The quote comes back as one fixed figure in writing, with crew, truck, packing materials and building charges on separate lines. If what we move matches what we surveyed, the price does not change on the day. If you add a whole room of goods later, we revise the quote in writing before the crew arrives, not at your front door.
Dates matter as much as price. Many Dubai tenancies end with the month, so the last few days of one month and the first few of the next are when lifts, loading bays and crews are booked hardest. If your move falls then, request a survey two or three weeks ahead and get the building slots confirmed as soon as the date is fixed. A mid month weekday is easier to book at both ends.
Ejari and DEWA: What You Handle and When to Start
Two pieces of admin are yours rather than ours, because they are in your name. Ejari registers your new tenancy contract, and DEWA handles electricity and water at the old and new addresses. We cannot apply for either on your behalf, but we can tell you when to start each one so neither holds up the truck.
Do the Ejari first. Many buildings ask for the registered tenancy before they issue a move in permit, and the new DEWA account is set up against it. Then transfer your DEWA account a few days before the move, so the new home has power when the crew arrives and the old account closes after you hand back the keys. Our guide to building move permits covers the building side.
Three to four weeks out: book the survey and fix the date
Lease signed: register the Ejari for the new home
Date fixed: we request permits and lift slots at both buildings
A few days out: switch DEWA from the old address to the new
Moving day: photograph the meters at the old home
Keys returned: follow up the building deposit
Moving From Dubai to Abu Dhabi Without Losing the Day
We plan an Abu Dhabi move backwards, starting from the arrival building. We confirm its move permit, its lift booking and the hours it accepts deliveries, then set the loading time in Dubai so the truck arrives inside that window instead of waiting in a car park with your furniture on board.
The admin changes once you cross the emirate border. Abu Dhabi registers tenancies through Tawtheeq, not Ejari, and electricity and water come from an Abu Dhabi provider instead of DEWA. Close the DEWA account in Dubai as you would for any move out, then start the Tawtheeq registration and the utility connection for the new home as soon as the lease there is signed.
On the road, furniture travels in an enclosed truck, strapped and blanketed, out of the sun. We plan the departure to avoid the worst of the Dubai traffic where we can. The supervisor who surveyed your home runs both ends, and at the far end the crew unloads, rebuilds the furniture and takes the packing waste away, exactly as on a move across Dubai.
What a Moving Company in Dubai Should Put in Writing
Most moving day disputes come from things that were said rather than written down. Before you book any movers in Dubai, ours included, ask for the points below in a written quote or by email. If a company will only give a verbal figure, or the price is a range, treat that as a warning.
Our quotes include all of this as standard, along with the inventory the price is based on. If something you need is missing, email us and we add it before you confirm. For a week by week plan of everything else, from utilities to school records, see our Dubai moving checklist.

Home Survey
An in person visit or a room by room video call, with access checked at both addresses before any figure is written down.
02
Building Permits and Lift Slots
We apply for the move permit, book the service lift and loading bay, and confirm the time window with both buildings.
03
Packing and Labelling
Cartons, paper, bubble wrap and blankets supplied, with fragile items packed by the crew and every carton marked with its destination room.
04
Dismantling and Reassembly
Beds, wardrobes, desks and dining tables taken apart, fixings bagged and labelled, then rebuilt in the new home where you want them.
05

Pricing
What Changes the Price of a Home Move in Dubai
We do not publish a rate card, because two jobs that sound the same rarely are. Your quote comes after a free survey and lists each part of the job as its own line. The six factors below are what make one quote higher or lower than another.
Five things drive it: the size of the home, access at both buildings, how much packing you want, the furniture that needs dismantling and the distance. Two three bedroom homes can be priced very differently once you count the wardrobes, the garage and the lift. We never quote from a bedroom count alone. We survey first, then send one fixed written price that stays the same on moving day if the inventory does.
Which Permits Does My Building Need Before Moving Day?
Usually, yes. Towers and gated communities set their own move permits and time windows, and many want a refundable deposit and the service lift reserved in advance. The rules vary from building to building, so we confirm them with both the old and the new building once your date is set. Tenancy documents and ID copies have to come from you.
How Early Should I Book House Movers in Dubai?
Two to four weeks is comfortable for most homes. For a move in the last days of a month, allow longer, because building slots and crews are taken first. If your date is close, still ask, as a mid month weekday can often be fitted in. Booking early also leaves time to sort the Ejari and DEWA before the crew arrives.
Do You Take Furniture Apart and Put It Back Together?
Yes. Dismantling and reassembly are part of a standard move with us. Beds, wardrobes, cots, desks and dining tables are taken apart at the old home, the fixings are bagged and labelled, and every piece is rebuilt in the room you choose. Mention any flat pack furniture that has been moved before, as older fixings sometimes need replacing.
Can You Move Us From Dubai to Abu Dhabi in One Day?
For most apartments, yes. Larger villas often need a packing day first, followed by loading and the drive the next morning. We plan around the Abu Dhabi building and confirm its rules before booking. Remember that your new tenancy there is registered through Tawtheeq, and electricity and water come from an Abu Dhabi provider rather than DEWA.
What If My New Home Is Not Ready on Moving Day?
It happens, especially with new handovers that slip. We can collect from your old home on the agreed date, keep everything in storage against a numbered inventory and deliver when the keys arrive. Our moving and storage service explains how that works. Tell us as early as you can so the quote covers both parts.
